On our photos page, you will see pictures from our trip to the Indianapolis Childrens Museum as well as photos from the MAW on Tuesday this week. We had such an incredible last few days problem solving, creating, and enjoying one another.
It’s been such a wonderful thing watching this community build, and for most kids, sustain over the past two years. We’ve worked so intentionally together to shape a place we all feel safe, quirky, joyful, and a sense of wonder.
Late last week, an impromptu memory sharing circle started at the end of the day in which kids talked about their favorite parts of being together in 5/6. As the students shared one at a time, collective experiences were recalled – when we dyed indigo, when we went to Bradford Woods, our school play, April Fools Day, times in our math groups that were just too silly…It was incredible to witness how they too, enjoy nostalgia and found something powerful in discussing how we have all been to one another.
We will miss them all so very much, but gosh it’s been wonderful! There is not a more joyous time, more energizing time, or more purposeful time than when we get to come to school and teach your kids.
Please let us know if there is anything you need over the summer … or ever, we’re here!
